TEACHING

My singers learn to find their way to their voice, to use it like a precious and priceless instrument, with its different registers, its virtuosity and its expressive power, but also to accept its personality and to take care of it.
The source of the voice – and of life – is breathing. That’s why yoga exercises and body awareness take an essential place in my vocal technique. This, combined with artistic creativity and social exchange, make a singing lesson extremely energising and even addictive, for the student as well as for the teacher.
During many years, alongside my studies, I taught French in a big language school. Besides working on listening and speaking, there are neurological similarities in the process of learning a foreign language and singing. These include, among other things, mechanising, getting out of the comfort zone, overcoming one's blockages, controlling but leaving space... It’s pretty complex, subtle, requires psychology and kindness.
Classically trained, I teach children, teenagers, adults, choir members and soloists, in genres ranging from classical to contemporary music, including jazz improvisation and yodelling!

MUSIC SCHOOL
Since 2011 I have been teaching a pop/jazz singing class at Music School Uster Greifensee. Even in non classical genres, the exploration of resonators, head voice and breath support are here to protect the delicate vocal apparatus.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Most of my students take individual lessons in my music room in Zurich. But I can also teach groups, in companies or schools. I’m also active on social media with funny pedagogical videos!
